Cannabis Seeds

We have been growing cannabis and saving the same seed for three years now. We are grateful for all the learning and healing that tending this plant offers. You will find so much literature out there for the proper way of growing cannabis, but we encourage you to use your intuition. Our style has been to plant seeds directly into the ground after the frost and  fertilize with compost. If you only want flowers and no seed then you unfortunately have to compost the male plant as soon as you identify them.

We are fundraising $2,000 alongside other farmers and land tenders to support Gazan farmers. Our goal is to fundraise this by May 1st. Our remaining remedy collections and funds from our CSA will go towards supporting Arduna’s initiative. @yousef_sager99 and @arduna_team

Arduna (Our Land) is the legacy project of the courageous martyred farmer Yousef Abu Rabee. Arduna is tended by Yousef’s family and closest friends, continuing his vision of agricultural autonomy and food sovereignty of Gaza. Arduna continues planting despite all odds, caring for our people by cultivating the earth of Yousef's precious homeland. Arduna continues to farm, repair the land, provide water access and do food distribution in both North and Central Gaza.

In early 2024, Yousef returned to farming in the dire moments of starvation that North Gaza was experiencing. Thousands of people did not starve in the North because of Yousef and his fellow farmers. For this courageous act, Yousef was targeted by the occupation and martyred on October 21, 2024. May God have mercy on him.

We are working using the farming cooperative model that Yousef established in 2024, to support 20 farmers in North Gaza in rehabilitating the land and replanting, to ensure we can provide our people with fresh vegetables. We have also reestablished Yousef's nursery, in order to provide these farmers with seedlings. As Yousef used his voice to say so often, the agricultural sector needs international solidarity. So often institutions fail farmers, and it is the support of the international community that is essential in ensuring our courageous farming can continue.
