Although it often gets overlooked due to its racial profile, The Caribbean is not a monolith. The region often called the West Indies is a melting pot of cultures, flavors and sounds shaped by forced migration and colonialism. In this knowledge share we will explore the plants, spices, and culinary techniques that define the region and how it all came together. Participants will make a salad from traditional ingredients. Through this knowledge share with will journey through the history of how Caribbean Food came to be.
