“Plants to the People: Political Education Through Plants” is a celebration of four years of Herban Cura’s mutual aid project, Plants to the People (P2P). By weaving together plant stories that artist Cinthya Santos-Briones has compiled over the years with storytelling from across our collective, our first book is a living archive of the wisdom that lives within our communities.
P2P is an offering of reciprocity, care, and solidarity. Every sale from this book will help to sustain the Plants to the People Farm moving forward. This farm is where we grow the herbs we distribute for our Plants to the People gatherings as well as teach herbalism immersions. Our homegrown and heart-filled remedies are a reflection of our belief that we are not well unless our neighbors are well, too.
